National Gas welcomes NIC to our National Control Centre

National Gas welcomes NIC to our National Control Centre

National Gas was pleased to host colleagues from the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) at our National Control Centre (NCC) for gas in Warwick.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the critical role of National Gas in maintaining a secure and resilient energy supply for the UK.

With the NIC soon transitioning to NISTA (National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority), we look forward to continuing our collaboration in its new capacity.

As the UK’s gas system operator, we play a crucial part in balancing supply and demand, ensuring energy security, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon future. Engaging with key stakeholders like the NIC allows us to align on priorities and explore ways to enhance the resilience of our energy infrastructure.

We thank the NIC for taking the time to visit and our colleagues from across National Gas for facilitating the visit, providing insight into the vital operation we deliver.

We look forward to further discussions with the NIC, and soon, NISTA, as we continue working together to shape the future of the UK’s energy system.
