Jake Tudge, our Corporate Affairs Director, took part in a panel discussion alongside Chair of the Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee, Bill Esterson MP, at the New Statesman Politics Live Conference.
The session addressed some of the most pressing issues facing the energy sector, with a particular focus on the steps needed to protect jobs and industry as we transition to a net zero economy. The conversation brought together a range of views from industry and the wider energy community, each offering unique insights into the challenges and opportunities on the path to net zero and clean power.
Jake spoke about the essential role of hydrogen in decarbonising the energy system and shared the experiences of National Gas in advancing hydrogen projects and overcoming obstacles to delivery. The discussion highlighted the critical importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to create a resilient and sustainable energy network that meets the needs of future generations.
