Previously, David spent six years working as part of the National Grid legal team. He qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and spent his early career at Eversheds Sutherland advising on corporate law and M&A transactions. 

David is married with three sons. He spends much of his time outside work coaching junior rugby and football and ferrying his boys between sporting fixtures.
