Community Engagement
Helping others in the community is integral to our work at National Gas Metering. We provide many volunteering and fundraising opportunities, enabling our people to contribute in meaningful ways to local communities and charities.

Through community initiatives, volunteering opportunities and charitable support, we make a positive, sustainable contribution to society at the same time as supporting the wellbeing, sense of purpose and happiness of our people.

Volunteering for good causes in our community

National Gas Metering has an annual target for volunteering hours, which we report on every quarter. Our people are encouraged to volunteer for social causes across the wider community. They can choose to volunteer for one of our chosen corporate charities, or for an organisation that means a lot to them.

In choosing our corporate charities, we focus on supporting children, people living in poverty, healthcare, the elderly and guide dogs. Our colleagues support these charities by giving their time and expertise on a range of voluntary activities, from painting and decorating to landscaping, interview preparation and much more.

Making a positive difference to society

By supporting local charity initiatives, we can have a positive impact on diverse communities. Our people are encouraged to get involved in making a difference in the places where we live and work. That’s good for individual wellbeing and job satisfaction, as well as helping to build new skills and forge stronger communities.
