National Gas has taken a significant step forward with the launch of its innovative app designed to provide near real-time insights into the gas system. This tool offers comprehensive data on the country's gas supply and demand, making it accessible to the public through interactive charts and maps.

The app delivers insights into Britain's extensive gas network by using data from the National Gas Gas System Operator (GSO). Users can access near real-time data on gas supply and demand, offering them the ability to explore the scale of the gas system at their finger.

The app not only aims to enhance the public's understanding of gas supply and demand, but also supports National Gas' long-term vision of transitioning to cleaner energy sources. We plan to repurpose significant portions of the existing network for hydrogen and carbon dioxide transport, aligning with the UK’s net zero targets.
