Grain LNG
Simon is Managing Director of Grain LNG, the largest LNG importation facility in Europe. As a National Grid Venture company, Grain LNG continues to grow whilst providing essential security of supply to the UK.
Simon has more than 30 years of experience in the development of natural gas and LNG, with an early career in engineering with BG Group, he specialised in design, construction and operations of LNG assets. In recent years, Simon has led the growth and expansion of one of the largest LNG terminals in the world, driving new business development, commercial negotiations and contract extensions. Throughout his career, Simon has represented the industry in several international forums and business groups. He has also chaired and contributed to wide-ranging international standards and best practice documents.

Our members have been selected based on their knowledge and expertise in the energy industry, across a broad range of issues. This enables them to challenge and validate stakeholder views of National Gas plans, and monitor the delivery of our Business Plan Commitments over the price control period.
